OUR MISSION

The W3 Group provides the Reflex XTR community with models that look and fly as near exactly like the real RC models as possible. We improve the simulation experience by offering a new level of realism, creating the best RC flight training that has ever been possible. We strengthen the Reflex XTR community by setting the highest standards for the RC simulation industry to follow and making Reflex XTR the best simulation environment available.

We have a close personal cooperative association with the Reflex Products company. The coordinated goals of our two companies brings unparalleled aircraft and scenery quality to the Reflex community.

OUR APPROACH

The W3 Group has extensive professional experience in full-scale aviation, radio control modeling since 1963, aerodynamics, software engineering, graphics design, and computer programming. Our team uses a systematic methodology, a scientific approach, and a proprietary suite of aerodynamic-analysis software tools. We generate calculated, repeatable numeric performance data for nearly all aerodynamic parameters of our models. Each aircraft's performance is verified by our RC pilots with decades of experience from sailplanes to 3D.

Realistic model appearance is equally important as performance for effective learning in the simulation environment. Our extreme attention to detail captures even subtle visual aspects of the RC models we simulate. Our comprehensive approach of realistic appearance and accurate flight performance delivers the best looking and flying simulator models in the industry.

THE W3 GROUP / USER PARTNERSHIP

We began the W3 Group as simulator users and very active RC modelers. We all wished there were simulator models available of much higher-quality appearance and performance. We realized that our group’s members had the unique combination of professional knowledge and skills to set new standards for the RC simulator community. However, we also soon learned that it takes a strong commitment and an immense amount of time and resources to do it right. We decided that the W3 Group would continue providing some free models and scenery, but also offer some to download for a small fee. This helps cover the cost of bandwidth, computer resources, and helps to justify the extensive labor hours needed to continue development of exceptional models. The fees are small and on a “per-plane” basis, letting you download only the ones you want. You are always welcome to enjoy the free downloads, but we sincerely appreciate your support of our fee-based downloads. Thanks for being our partner in this exciting endeavor and helping us continue our efforts.
